Keeping the city mobile during a crisis

As a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, VItamin B conceptualized MediDyip, a rapidly deployable transport system that transformed jeepneys into shuttles for patients and frontliners who needed to travel. Vitamin B designed the point-to-point system to transport Filipinos to the hospital, as well as retrofitted the vehicles with proper barriers to prevent transmission between the driver and passengers.

Drivers were given personal protective equipment and in-depth training on safety procedures, disinfection methods, and ferrying patients and healthcare workers directly to the hospital.

It was an entire system that involved local government units. Barangay workers served as the point of contact for passengers and dispatchers for the driver. For an uninterrupted trip, Vitamin B worked with the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) in acquiring clearance for jeeps specifically for MediDyip to allow them to travel across different cities.
